Donations, Dana, offerings:
“The Buddhist teachings have been preserved through the continuous sacrifice and renunciation of the Sangha and the kind generosity of the laity. When we have faith and the intention to give, we experience a moment of letting go. Sharing what one has brings happiness to the giver and benefit to the receiver.
Support in the form of work, money, foodstuffs, building materials or other help is both appreciated and needed. Your generosity helps the monastic community to survive and flourish, and brings you long-term benefit and happiness.
How can you help?
There are many ways to help TSL Monastery, from offering monetary donations, foodstuffs, offering of service to help with cleaning and maintaining the monastery grounds.
Help around the monastery:
Regular assistance with the cleaning and general maintenance of the monastery is always appreciated.

Staying on site to help around the place:
We do sometimes offer free accommodation for people wanting to come and stay for a longer period in order to help around the monastery, doing some of the more time consuming jobs. We can provide free accommodation for up to a week, for around 3 hrs work per day, giving plenty of free time for personal meditation in a spacious and supportive environment. feel free to email for more information.

We are a small community and, as such, things we need most often include cleaning supplies, toilet paper, tea, coffee etc. We ask that perishable foodstuffs are not offered. If you want to make a lunch meal offering to the sangha including both monks and nuns, feel free to contact us directly.
